Cookie Policy
The cookies and browser storage worcia.com uses: only strictly necessary sign-in and security cookies, no advertising or analytics cookies, and no banner.
Effective 18 October 2026
1. Cookies and browser storage
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so it can recognize your browser on later requests. Websites can also use browser storage: localStorage keeps small values until you clear them, and sessionStorage keeps them only until you close the tab. Browser storage is not sent to the website automatically with each request.
This page lists every cookie and storage key worcia.com uses.
2. Cookies we use
All cookies on worcia.com are strictly necessary. In production, cookie names begin with __Secure-, which means browsers accept them only over HTTPS.
| Name or prefix | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
wq_client (for example __Secure-wq_client.session_token) | Keeps you signed in to Worcia Console, our client portal. Set only when you sign in. | Ends after 8 hours without activity. A session lasts at most 7 days. | Strictly necessary, first-party |
wq_team (for example __Secure-wq_team.session_token) | Keeps a Worcia team member signed in to Worcia HQ, our internal system. Set only when a team member signs in. | Ends after 2 hours without activity. A session lasts at most 12 hours. | Strictly necessary, first-party |
wq_team.two_factor | Holds the two-factor step of a Worcia HQ sign-in. | 10 minutes | Strictly necessary, first-party |
| Cloudflare Turnstile cookies (names set by Cloudflare) | Tell people apart from automated abuse on our forms. Only when Turnstile is enabled. | Set by Cloudflare, for the security check | Strictly necessary, third-party |
Short-lived cookies with the same wq_client or wq_team prefix may also be set during sign-in. They have the same purpose and type.
When our booking page is configured, the Zoho scheduler loads in a frame from Zoho's own domain. Zoho may set its own cookies inside that frame, under its own cookie policy. We do not set, read or receive them.
3. Browser storage we use
These keys are stored in your browser. They are not cookies, and our servers never read them on their own.
| Key | Storage | What it holds | How long | Sent to Worcia? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
worcia.theme.v1 | localStorage | The day or night theme you chose | Until you clear it | No |
worcia.motion.v1 | localStorage | Whether you paused motion and animation | Until you clear it | No |
worcia.industry.v1 | localStorage | The industry you chose, so examples match your business | Until you clear it or choose "any" | Only with a form you choose to send |
worcia.plan.v1 | sessionStorage | Your Project Planner answers | Until you close the tab | Only if you book a call with the plan attached |
When you send a form, it also includes the page you sent it from, the website that referred you and any campaign tags in that page's link, read at that moment. Nothing about your visit is stored in advance. What we receive is described in the Privacy Policy.
4. What we do not use
- Analytics cookies. Our analytics tool, Umami, is self-hosted and cookieless. It sets nothing on your device and builds no profile of you.
- Advertising, retargeting or conversion cookies.
- Social media pixels or share-button scripts.
- Anything that follows you to other websites.
5. Why there is no consent banner
The UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the EU's ePrivacy rules require consent before a website stores information on your device, unless it is strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for.
The cookies on worcia.com are strictly necessary: they keep you signed in and protect our forms from abuse. The browser storage keys in section 3 hold settings you choose, or stay in your browser tab unless you send us a form. None of them tracks you across websites, and none is shared with anyone. That is why we do not show a consent banner.
If we ever add anything optional, we will ask for your consent before it is set, and update this page to say what it is and who provides it.
6. Controlling cookies and storage
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear site data, usually under Settings, then Privacy. A private or incognito window discards everything when you close it.
Blocking cookies does not affect reading worcia.com. It does stop you signing in to Worcia Console, and it may stop a form from sending when Turnstile is enabled. Clearing site data resets your theme, motion and industry settings.
7. Changes and contact
If what we set changes, this page changes with it and the effective date at the top moves. Questions: hello@worcia.com (opens in a new tab). See also our Privacy Policy.
