Mobile apps. In your customers' pockets, built properly.
Worcia designs and builds iOS and Android apps for customers and for teams: booking and ordering apps, member and loyalty apps, field-service apps and companion apps for your software. We handle design, build, App Store and Google Play release, and the updates after launch.
At a glance
- What it is
- Design, build, store release and support of an iOS and Android app you own.
- Measured by
- Active users · Retention · Crash-free sessions · In-app conversions
- Part of
- Atelier(we build), one of three pillars delivered by one team
01Who it's for
Businesses whose customers or staff come back often enough to keep an app.
- 01A gym, studio or club with members who book every week
- 02A restaurant or retailer with repeat customers and a loyalty scheme
- 03A field-service team that needs jobs, photos and sign-offs on the road
- 04A software product that needs a mobile companion

02What's included
Everything inside Mobile apps.
Product scoping
The few things the app must do well, agreed before design, so version one ships and gets used.
Design
Screens designed for thumbs and for each platform's conventions, tested with real users.
iOS and Android build
Native or cross-platform, chosen for your features, budget and team.
Back end and integrations
Accounts, payments, notifications, and connections to your CRM, booking and stock systems.
Store release
App Store and Google Play listings, review submissions and release management.
Analytics and updates
Crash reporting, usage analytics and a plan for updates as the operating systems change.
03What you own
Handed over, in your name.
Code, accounts and data transfer to you deliverable by deliverable, as each invoice is paid.
Both apps, published under your developer accounts
Source code and build pipeline
Admin panel for content and users
Analytics and crash reporting
04How it connects
One part of one system.
Custom software
The app and its back end are one system: the same accounts, data and admin panel.
Explore Custom software →Maestro
Orders, bookings and sign-ups in the app trigger the back-office work automatically.
Explore Maestro →Digital marketing
App installs and re-engagement campaigns are measured from ad to first booking.

05What it is not
Clear edges.
- An app for the sake of having one. If a website does the job better, we'll say so in the Blueprint.
- Published under our accounts. The apps, listings and code are yours.
- A one-off build with no plan for the next operating-system update.
06Built with
The right tools, chosen for you.
We choose technology per project and explain why in your Blueprint: what fits your team, your budget and the next five years, not what's fashionable.
- Cross-platform
- React Native or Flutter: one codebase for iOS and Android when the features allow it
- Native
- Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android when performance or device features need it
- Back end
- APIs and databases we build, or the platform you already run
- Payments and notifications
- Apple and Google in-app purchases, card payments and push notifications
07What we measure
Targets agreed up front. Measured from your baseline.
Definitions, not promises. Your targets are set in your Growth Blueprint.
01Active users
People who open the app in a week or a month, counted from analytics.
02Retention
The share of new users still active 30 days after installing.
03Crash-free sessions
Sessions that end without a crash, from crash reporting.
04In-app conversions
Bookings, orders or sign-ups completed in the app, by week.

Questions about Mobile apps
Do I need both iOS and Android?
Usually, yes: most customer bases are split. A cross-platform build covers both from one codebase; we recommend native only when the app needs it.
Who publishes the app?
You do, under your own Apple and Google developer accounts. We prepare the listings and handle the review process for you.
What happens after launch?
Apps need updates as iOS and Android change. A Scale Partnership covers updates, fixes and new features; or your team takes over with the code and documentation.
Can the app work with our existing systems?
Yes. If your booking, stock, CRM or payment system has an API, the app connects to it.
