Show up when nearby customers search for what you do
Local search work across your Google Business Profile, your website and the directories that matter: a complete, accurate profile, a real page for each service and area you cover, consistent business details everywhere and an honest way to ask for reviews.
The problem
When someone searches for a service near them, the results usually start with a map and a short list of businesses, then the websites. If you're not in that short list, the searcher may never see you, however good your work is.
The gaps that keep a business off that list are usually ordinary, and fixable:
- A Google Business Profile that's half filled in, with the wrong categories, old hours and no photos of real work.
- A website with one page that lists every service and every town, so no page clearly matches any one search.
- A business name, address and phone number written differently across directories, so it's unclear they all belong to the same business.
- Few recent reviews, because nobody asks at the right moment.
Each gap is small. Together, they mean the business that answers the search most clearly gets the call, and that often isn't the best business for the job.
What we build
We run local search with SEO & GEO, Worcia's search and AI-answer visibility service, and build the pages with Websites, Worcia's website design and development. For the basics, see the glossary entry on local SEO.
- We audit where you stand. For your core services and areas, we check where you appear in map results and ordinary results, what your profile says and how your details appear across directories. That becomes the baseline.
- Your Business Profile is completed and corrected. Categories, services, service areas, hours, photos of real work and a description that says plainly what you do and where you do it.
- Your details are made consistent. Business name, address, phone number and website are the same everywhere that matters: the main directories, industry listings and your social profiles.
- Each service and area gets a real page. A page for each service you want to be found for, and for each area you actually cover. Every page carries specific detail: what's included, local work, common questions and how to book. Pages are fast on mobile and use schema markup so search engines read the details correctly.
- Reviews are asked for, honestly. After each completed job, the customer gets a short request with a direct link. Replies to reviews are drafted for you to approve.
- Every page has a clear next step. Customers can call, book or request a quote from any page, with tracking so you can see which page and which search produced the lead.
- We report and keep going. Local results move as competitors change their profiles and pages. We report the measures below each month and adjust the work.
We can't control where a search engine ranks you, and we don't promise positions. We can make sure it has complete, accurate and consistent information about what you do and where, and that your pages answer the search better than anything else it could show.
How it connects
Being found is the first step. The rest of the system makes sure being found turns into booked work.
- Answering the calls. Local search produces phone calls, and an unanswered call is a lost lead. Concierge, Worcia's AI sales and service agents, answers as Viola, your concierge, at any hour and books the job. See after-hours answering.
- Booking from the page. Appointment booking turns a page visit into a confirmed slot without a phone call.
- AI answers. The same clear, consistent facts help AI assistants describe and recommend you. Read what is GEO.
- Redesigns. If you're rebuilding your website, read how to redesign a website without losing your search rankings before you start.

What we measure
We take a baseline in the first audit. After launch, we report the same measures each month against the agreed targets.
- Appearances in local map results for your core searches. For an agreed list of searches and areas, whether and where you appear. Measured with a local rank-tracking tool from several points across your service area.
- Calls, direction requests and website visits from your Business Profile. Measured from the profile's own performance reports.
- Leads from local search, by service and area. Calls and form submissions from search visitors, grouped by the page they arrived on. Measured with call tracking and website analytics.
- Accuracy of your business details across listings. The share of checked listings with the correct name, address and phone number. Measured from a listings audit each quarter.
